What Doctors & Customers say...

Dr. Meg Sleeper is a veterinary cardiologist at the University of Pennsylvania that started using ProMotion-EQ after the 2006 ACVIM Forum. She says, "I was particularly interested in trying it because I am an endurance rider and I currently compete with 4 horses...all of whom had been taking Cosequin. I switched them all to ProMotion-EQ after I received it in the fall. I love the results with your product."

Sept 6, 2007 - "I would like to share a success story. In 2002, I began using ProMotion-EQ on my 21-year old Arabian gelding, Aristo Beau AKA A.Beau. My veterinarian, Dr. Jan Turner, recommended that I try your product as we were unable to come up with a definitive reason for his lameness. She told me to be patient and just hand walk him twice a day for a 1/2 hour. After one week of the Promotion-EQ, Dr. Turner made a follow-up visit. The lameness was completely gone. Her prescription for me at that time was, "get on him and ride!" A.Beau is now 26-years young and I continue riding and of course pampering him. I completely credit his recovery to ProMotion-EQ. Everyone I have spoken with at AHO has always been so kind. ProMotion-EQ will always be on A.Beau's regime. Thank you so much Animal Health Options." - Jeanne, Scottsdale, AZ

March 23, 2006 - "In February of 2000, I attended the Western Veterinary Conference as a Vet Tech. During on of my trips through the Exhibitors' Hall, I was interested in the ProMotion-EQ product. You see, I had a 16-year old Quarter Horse gelding with a stifle problem. Shadow was having problems getting up after lying down and when being trimmed. I tried the ProMotion-EQ after I returned home and was amazed at the GREAT results in a very short time. Shadow was no longer having trouble getting up and my blacksmith asked what I was doing different the next time he came. Two years ago, I took Shad off the product due to a job lay-off. I took him on a trail ride and didn't realize how bad he felt when he was not getting his ProMotion-EQ. I came home and ordered more, and he has not been off it since. Last July when I went on a week-long trail ride with Shadow, age 21, he kept up with both the Walking horses I ride with and the youngsters all week. Shad is now 22-years old and gets his daily dose of ProMotion-EQ. He will stay on it for the rest of his life. I have recommended the product to many fellow riders and the feedback from them has been positive." - Paula Timm, LVT, Glennwood, NY

Apr. 2, 2008 - "Star is a 15-year old TB, and my first horse, so very special to me. A specialist recommended that I put her down, but I decided to persevere with the ProMotion-EQ. The farrier is shocked that she is still mobile. I am positive that I see an improvement, and shall continue as long as she is comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful product." - Leanne, South Africa

Nov 26, 2007 - Ramona Sanders reported that her 8-yr old Peruvian Paso horse, Señor Mando, is doing well after 60 days on ProMotion-EQ. She stopped riding him at the age of 4 or 5 years and "retired" him to the pasture. Unfortunately his condition got worse and Ramona thought she would have to put him down. Then she read about ProMotion-EQ on a DSLD website and in Horse Journal. She decided to try a jar and after 60 days, Señor Mando is up everyday when she goes out in the morning and the swelling in his fetlocks has improved. Ramona is hopeful that she'll be able to ride him again someday soon.

"I own an 8-year old Arabian Gelding, Maroko. In October 1998 he broke a bone in his knee in half (while alone in a corral...). Dr. John Harris searched for options on treatment and the couple of cases (involving surgery) sited in books and publications did not offer a lot of hope for a sound horse outcome. We decided to confine him to a small area and let nature take its course. I was resigned to having my well-schooled horse and trail-riding friend be a pasture horse for the rest of his life. Dr. Harris continued to do follow up with x-rays periodically and then heard about a research trial for a glucosamine supplement called ProMotion-EQ. We decided to try the double blind study and hoped to start out with the real thing instead of the placebo. By this time, I had been increasing Maroko's space to allow him to do what he was comfortable with. He eventually went into the pasture with other horses and moved with a limp, but did walk, trot and canter on his own. The ProMotion-EQ seemed to help lessen the limp he exhibited during the healing process. Eleven months after the initial break, another x-ray showed the bone had healed and much of the tissue damage on the front of the knee had been reduced. Dr. Harris said to go ahead and begin riding again. I have been increasing the difficulty of our rides from flat and short to all day, steep, rocky and difficult terrain. He has been taking it all in stride (without limping!) and I believe a part of the improvement has been due to the ProMotion-EQ with the rest of the credit due to his age and the extended rest I gave him. I still get concerned when he makes flying leaps over creeks or logs, but there have been no ill effects and the only remaining sign he had any problem, is a small protrusion on the knee. I intend to continue using ProMotion-EQ from now on to maintain his progress." - Carol, CO

May 6, 2004 - "I have been giving ProMotion-EQ to my 17-year-old TB gelding for the past 5 weeks and I am impressed with the product. He has been diagnosed with DSLD (Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Desmitis) and, in spite of our careful management, continued to get worse. When I found out about your product, he was suffering a painful flair up, and ultrasound showed many new lesions. We decided that pasture retirement was best and thought that, at the rate of his degeneration, he had perhaps another year left before we would have to put him down. Lately, his fetlock joints and suspensory ligaments are cool and clean. He has not been on any anti-inflammatory or pain medication for several weeks. He plays so hard out in the pasture, the barn manager and I watch him, flinching with gritted teeth. He gallops, rears and lunges with the rest of his buddies. The barn manager tells me that I have to, somehow, start paying more attention to his exercise needs because he has so much energy. Yesterday, I brought him in and threw my saddle on him and we worked at a big, loose, energetic walk for 1/2 hour. He's a happy horse. Thank you again, Diane Erwin & The General"

Jan 7, 2008 - "I was reading the Horse Journal and based on the rating for ProMotion-EQ, I called AHO. They were very helpful, and I started my miniature horse Candy on ProMotion-EQ in October 2007. Candy is 12-years old. I would recommend ProMotion-EQ to any miniature horse person as it is often very difficult to find products that are designed for "Big Horses" that miniature horses can be given safely. As a granule, ProMotion-EQ is very easy to give when feeding and Candy loves it. And with cold weather, I can see a marked difference in her movement. The picture included is with "Kisses", her foal for 2006." - Millie Smiley, Honeycomb Max Minis

"I have a 15-year old mare that I purchased for pleasure riding about 8 months ago. She had been living most of her life on soft, sandy soil and I moved her to hard rocky soil (more rocks than dirt). She wasn't here long before she became lame in both front legs. We changed her shoes and started her on ProMotion-EQ. Within 4 weeks, there was no more limping, except when tired after riding an hour or so. I have kept her on ProMotion-EQ and now (4 months later) she doesn't limp at all when riding. She is now in regular shoes and doing well. I will definitely keep her on ProMotion-EQ. I am a believer!! Thanks for the great product." - Deb Forster, DVM

"We purchased an 18-year old rope horse for my daughter knowing he came with much of the wear and tear an older performance horse is prone to have. I contacted my vet and asked what product he would suggest since there are so many on the market and the more I read, the more I became confused. He said he had recently tried ProMotion-EQ with good results on several horses. I began to see results after several weeks and feel ProMotion-EQ will extend this horse's performance by several years. My daughter roped off of him last night and he is feeling great. You wouldn't know he was 18!" - Connie Prather from De Beque, CO

"I was fortunate enough to try ProMotion-EQ at the American Vaulting National Championships in Colorado last summer. Upon returning home, I started our 18-year old vaulting horse, Sweet P, on the product. Sweet P is 1/2 Belgian and 1/2 Quarter Horse and had been an active riding and vaulting horse until she sustained a major injury (nearly cutting off) to her back left foot. The injury was beautifully repaired through a combination of the talents of our local veterinarian and the surgical staff at a regional equine hospital. Four months after the injury we brought Sweet P back to work, not knowing what to expect. While stiff on her left leg, (as well as the rest of her body), Sweet P returned to her normal work schedule over the next six months. Since we have been using ProMotion-EQ, Sweet P's energy level has increased. She is happier and looks more relaxed in how she moves. She is no longer stiff at the beginning of her workouts. She feels so good that when running loose, she will give those old fashioned twisting bucks; the kind that feel so good and get all the kinks out! My ten-year old daughter Megan rides Sweet P (we have retired her from vaulting) and loves to jump her. After the injury, I was concerned if Sweet P would be able to return to normal work, and here she is jumping! She loves to jump, and seems to be flexible, happy, and pain-free. Sweet P is able to flex all her joints like a youngster! Thank you!" - Vicki Smith from Bainbridge Island, WA
