What Doctors & Customers say...

July 20, 2007 - "Thanks for the follow up. I am actually in the process of obtaining more of your company's ProQuiet product for my dogs. I had a sample of that from LAST year's ACVIM conference, and my husband noted a big difference in our dogs after using the product during the 'fireworks' season. Thank you again for supplying the sample at the conference, and please know how much it is appreciated! Here is a picture of my gang." - Heidi, LVT, VTS of Bloomfield Hills, MI

February 12, 2007 - "With my 15-year old dog, Blues, pacing and panting at night neither of us could sleep well. I gave her ProQuiet last night and we both slept! It's a life saver! Thank you" Pat - Idaho Springs, CO

"I used the ProQuiet on my dog at an obedience dog show. It didn't seem to affect him the first day, but there was an improvement on the second day. Normally, he gets so stressed out that he has a severe stomach upset and bloody diarrhea the day following the stressful event. On Sunday, he did have a stomach ache, but Monday he was ok! I have told a few friends and dog owners about the product. Thank you." - Dr. Jackson, Ormond Beach, FL

April 6, 2006 - "Our cat, Tum, is currently 9-years old and since a few months old, we have struggled with skin problems. Our veterinarian has tried most everything. We did skin scans, scrapings and blood tests for allergies. We treated for infection that didn't exist, ringworm that was not diagnosed and treated with antibiotics, just in case. We went to metal bowls, tried multiple diets and finally went to methylprednisolone injections every 6 weeks to give the cat relief. He chewed the hair from all 4 legs, belly and side, and suffered this for 5 years. In October of 2005, a vet in a small town in South Dakota suggested we try ProQuiet. As we had nothing to lose, we tried it. In about 4-5 weeks, we noticed hair growing and couldn't believe it. He seems comfortable and does not bite at himself. He has not had an injection since October and is currently being maintained on Triamcinalone 0.5mg M-W-F. We hope to space this out to every 3rd or 4th day and maybe even discontinue the tabs. He is a beautiful red classic tabby with all this hair. Thank you." - M. Fox, Grand Rapids, MI

"I give my dog ProQuiet before she is groomed and for any other stressful events. It has really helped her through these times without any problems." - Mary, Nevada

"I have a 10-year old Toy Poodle, Phebee. Our vet suggested we try ProQuiet. It has worked well. As with most pet owners, I prefer to minimize the amount of pharmaceuticals she ingests. ProQuiet has provided us with an alternative that has worked very well. I strongly recommend the product." - Donna, New York

"ProQuiet has changed my cat and I know without it she'll go back to being a half wild cat who pees in the corner with any change, is constantly on alert and runs to hide from any noise and is pretty stressed because of this." - Darlene, Washington

"I had given my dog ProQuiet, prior to having having company at my home. The results were amazing!! For the very first time, he actually approached my guests to be petted. In addition, not only was he more trusting; but his entire demeanor was calm. Thank you for this amazing product!" - Joanna, New York

PROQUIET®

  • L-Tryptophan based calming formula
  • Tested safe and effective
  • Highly palatable, chewable tablet for cats and dogs
  • Also available in a 50-count box of 7-tablet packets for individual sale

Indications: For use when external stress causes a pet to become overly anxious, nervous or excited.

Main ingredients: L-Tryptophan, Taurine, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, Hops, Chamomile, Ginger Root, Brewer's Yeast, liver flavor

ProQuiet® is meant to calm the nerves and relax the behavior rather than sedate the animal. The formula is based on the essential amino acid L-tryptophan, which is also a natural relaxant. Oral supplementation of L-tryptophan directly increases circulating levels of both vitamin B3 and the inhibitory neurotransmitter serotonin. The addition of hops and chamomile enhances the quieting effect as both are known to have calming properties. Ginger root, a recognized carminative, soothes upset stomachs making it helpful for motion sickness. It may also counteract the flight or fight influences of adrenal secretions in times of stress. Each ingredient plays a role in stabilizing the nervous system.

Veterinarians can recommend ProQuiet® for use in the following situations:

  • Travel and motion sickness
  • Holiday company
  • Grooming
  • Thunderstorms
  • Mild separation anxiety
  • Territorial aggression/dominance
  • Competition associated anxiety
  • Fireworks
  • Behavior modification/training (for enhanced focus)

It is important to note that when using ProQuiet, label recommended doses should not be exceeded. ProQuiet may be used on an occasional basis or on a daily basis for mild separation anxiety. However, for maximum effectiveness, do not exceed 7 continuous days of use without a 2-day interruption. Without interruption, the body may build up a tolerance to the ingredients.
